 :: Badminton Skill Rating System (BSR)
This page provide badminton players with a simple self-assessment of your personal badminton skill level. Organisers who wish to use this rating system are welcome to do so.

You can use the "Search members" feature on the bottom left menu to locate and join a badminton group of your standard at the place near you.

Followings are the question you need to ask yourself, how consistent can you execute the shots during a game play.

Do you know the basic rules, line calls, scoring system and terms such as baseline, dropshot, drives etc
Have you ever had formal training under a coach for at least 6 months?
Have you been playing at least twice a week for the last 2 years?
Are you able to hit the shuttle over the net consistently?
Are you always in a good position to execute your shots?
Are you able to execute high serves to the baseline and low serves towards the net area?
Are you able to execute a forehand lift deep into the backcourt?
Are you able to hit a forehand lob from baseline to baseline?
Are you able to hit a forehand dropshot that lands before the service line?
Are you able to execute a crosscourt netshot with your forehand?
Are you able to execute a forehand smash?
Are you able to execute a consistent low and hard forehand drive?
Are you able to execute a backhand lift deep into the backcourt?
Are you able to hit a backhand lob from baseline to baseline?
Are you able to hit a backhand dropshot that lands before the service line?
Are you able to execute a crosscourt netshot with backhand?
Are you able to smash using your backhand?
Are you able to execute a consistent low and hard backhand drive?
Are you able to tap loose shots at the net with a high degree of success?
Are you able to differentiate the positioning/coverage required between doubles and singles play?
Are you able to aim your smashes?
Are you able to execute a jump-smash to produce a fast and powerful smash?
Are you able to execute a spinning net shot?
Do you plan/discuss tactics before or after a game?
Do you find yourself looking for gaps in the opponents' defence before you hit the shuttle?
Do you often look for opponents' weaknesses during a game?
Are you able to counter powerful smashes to put your opponents into trouble?
Do you often vary your strategy and style of play according to your opponents' strengths and weaknesses?
Have you ever taken part in any badminton competition?
Have you reached at least the semi finals of any national-ranked tournaments (eg SAFRA, Cheers) before?
