  | | REVIEW: SINAR MUTIARA (KING SMASH & LEGEND 1) These shuttlecock are made in Indonesia and it's currently the official shuttlecock for the Indonesian badminton team. Both model of shuttlecock are made from the goose feather, but personally, i can't tell the difference compare to our usual yonex AS05. Physical Appearance I am not sure if I was given an old stock of the King Smash, the shuttlecock look yellowish as compare to the Lengend 1. It seem to "glue" to one another when I tried to take it out from the tube. I do not have similar problem with the Legend 1. The feather on Legend 1 seem better constructed & fine compared to the King Smash. I would think Legend 1 is of a better grade of goose feather.King Smash on the whole, feel more "solid". At a glance you will notice the company are not 'stingy' with the glue used on the shuttlecock. Court Perforamce We usually used 76g or 77g in Singapore, but I was given 78g for the review. Suprisingly both shuttle are not fast as expected, they are still within the acceptable range. We have difficulties hitting to the base line using the King Smash, my guess is the cock is heavy which may be designed for hard smasher. Legend 1 on the other hand, perform within the expectation. Out of the 12 shuttlecock in the tube, I noticed that some shuttlecock do "spin" or "wobble" in the mid air, this happen in both model. As compare to Yonex AS05, both model is much durable. Each shuttlecock can last more than 1 game. The speed is Ok for Legend 1, but King Smash seem to decelerate faster. As for the flight, I still prefer AS05 for the feel of contact and consistancy. Both King Smash and Legend 1 are cheaper than Yonex AS05, I would recommend King Smash for those players who love to smash alot and Lengend 1 to any other social players.I will be posting up the videos of our game using both model of shuttlcock, do watch and judge it for yourselves. | | Anyone interested in purchasing the shuttlecock, please contact Contacts INDOPEARL ASIA, Email: indopearlasia@gmail.com | |
