A very simple way to look at the match:
First game: BN attacking play. Less unforced error.
2nd game: BN not attacking. attack reduced by 60-70%. lots of drops instead of smashes. 8 unforced errors among BN incl return service error (into net), lift return resulting in smash kills, high drop resulting in net kills by & lob to WU centre court for smash.
Look at the video and you will notice the difference in attacking in the 2 matches.

Lose or win is not the goal for the competition, am real glad to see such positive attitude. :).

Based on the pattern of service returns, WU's lowest rate of success in the 1st set was with the flick return. They somehow realised that and changed their return pattern in the 2nd set. Their highest rate of success in the 1st set was with the push return and they increased that in the 2nd set. BN's service return pattern appears consistent throughout both sets. However their success rate dropped dramatically.

Results are base on the statistics , and statistics cant lie. WU is doing pretty well in handling low services. Wish I had someone to analyse my game.

I was curious about this match as the scoreline was really puzzling. So I did a little data gathering. I didn't know where to start exactly. So I just gathered some statistics based on the types of service returns (low serves only).

Here are my results: %age out of total low serves (success rate)

First Set won by BN (21-8):
WU: Push Drive 6% (100%) Net/Block 35% (33%) Flick 59% (30%).
BN: Push Drive 57% (75%) Net/Block 43% (100%) Flick 0% (NA)

Second Set won by WU (21-12):
WU: Push Drive 27% (100%) Net/Block 44% (60%) Flick 27% (33%).
BN: Push Drive 53% (38%) Net/Block 34% (0%) Flick 13% (0%).

How to interpret? Let's leave that to the experts. Any other statistics you guys want me to check on? :)
